Instant response

Here's an amazing video.  Stacy Westfall is a horse trainer -- I'm not sure trainer is the politically correct word these days.  What's the new word?  Does anyone know?

You'll see her ride this horse without saddle or bridle.  Figure eights, gallop, twirl, side pass, fast/slow.  They move as one.  She makes the calls, and he executes her wishes.  Instantly.

Patience is the keyword.  She achieved this kind of oneness with a horse after many months of working together.

In this clip you can see her feet giving some of the cues.  And a lot of those cues are where and how she places her toes or her heels.  The horse is pleased to do exactly what Stacy is asking.

So of course I had to ask myself, How quick am I to respond to the cues divine Love gives me throughout the day?  How quick do I move with those nudges -- from a walk to a run and back to a walk again?  How seamlessly
do I shift from walking straight forward to moving to the side or even stepping back?  Do I trust every cue God gives?

Here's another thought.  In the early days of this country, cowboys dominated the horses they caught.  By force they tied and rode the bucking animals till they were exhausted and the cowboy had "won."

Monty Roberts pioneered the concept of giving horses credit for being intelligent.  In 30 minutes he can ride a wild horse with saddle and bridle -- strange equipment to that animal.  With no violence or stress to the horse.  Today's horsemen and women are expanding his ideas, giving clinics and exhibitions where they also ride previously untrained horses.  And those horses trust their people.

The old concept of God is, in fact, a bit like the wild west.  God sets rules and punishes those who violate them.  Old theology has people obeying God out of fear.  Then Christ Jesus came along and presented a God of Love who credits His/Her creation with intelligence and an innate desire to get relationships right.

Patience is the key word.  God's love is wonderfully patient as we discover that real satisfaction, purpose, and well-being are found when we're in sync, in perfect harmony, with infinite good.

I hope you enjoy watching this example of oneness and trust.
