Hello World,
This afternoon the sleet morphed into huge lazy white flakes. Sometimes that's how life feels. Sleet -- neither snow nor rain, rather some troublesome hybrid -- finds its way into our lives and sharply stings our faces. Yet a temperature drop of one degree transforms that annoyance into gentle beauty. What was sharp and hurtful becomes soft and lovely.
Lives can be like that. Often an unproductive or annoying relationship, with a slight increase of love and appreciation on our part, can transform into a supportive and meaningful one.
This may be stretching the analogy just a bit -- nonetheless, as snow smooths the bumps and sharp edges of the landscape, so love in the form of respect and appreciation smooths our relationships, covers the coarseness, forgives the sharpness, reveals their overall worth and beauty.
It helps me to realize that God put us here to help and bless one another. And it's OK to take the initiative in restoring and maintaining harmony in our relationships. Love, which I see as another name for God, always takes the initiative.

lovely post on loving one another
Loved this lesson on how little it takes to transform. Reminds me of a sentence I read in an article this morning: "Healing is just one thought away."
